Art is the lens through which I like to see and remember the world and the time I live. I interpret my memories and experiences (the places I visit or live in and the people I meet) and draw or paint them in a way that feels true to me.

I’m in the early stage of my journey as an artist, transitioning from being an entrepreneur in a very different, dynamic, and rational industry to this intuitive and gentle practice. I work primarily with watercolor and oil paint over paper, panels, or canvas boards, but I like to explore other mediums and surfaces to reveal my expression. I also love drawing with charcoal, especially for figure drawing. I think each medium is a particular reflection of the same reality that sometimes mixes and intermingles.

I’m a Uruguayan living in Toronto, Canada. I have lived in different countries in Latin America and have witnessed the rich culture and beautiful places our continent has to offer. These various cultures and experiences inform my work as a foreigner, a temporary migrant, and a full-time immigrant.
